Elected to lead R.I.F.P.C.'s Equity committee. Accepted into the R.I.F.P.C.'s steering committee.
Accepted into the Relish Rhody 2.0 Food Strategy Council.
Becomes apart of R.I.B.B.A.'s advocacy council. Testifies to RI Senate Finance Committee ultimately gaining their support for the Secure Choice bill (H5417/S545). The Secure Choice Act creates a state administered tax advantaged retirement savings plan for employees of businesses of five or more people.
Signed on to FRAC (Food Research & Action Center) letter in support of proposed new improved nutrition standards for the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs.
"Kinfolk East" website representing Kinfolk Benefit Trust goes live April 7th.
Co-hosted+facilitated Equity, Inclusion and belonging sessions within the Food Access and Public Health Working Group.
Founder accepted into the Equity Committee of the Rhode Island Food Policy Council.
C.E.O. accepts the role of "Lead" in the Food Access and Public Health working group for the Rhode Island Food Policy Council.
Helped ideate and structure topics for R.I.F.P.C's collaboration with the URI MBA Masters Program Cohort on Cottage Food in Rhode Island.
Provided testimony of workgroups efforts at R.I.F.P.C.'s Legislative Review Session.
Joined the Hunger Elimination Task Force. Contributing to it's Free School Meal's for All team.
Registered business in the City of Providence February 9th.
Accepted invitation into the Rhode Island Food Policy Council.
Held press conference on the importance of repealing L.E.O.B.O.R. (Law Enforcement Oficers Bill of Rights) along with all other advisory group members.
Contributed to the framework of a food pilot aimed at providing support to professionals just above the income threshold for government aid for the AAAG Food Disparity Group.
Founder kicks off the Mental Health "Sweat Session" group meetings as facilitator. A bi-weekly meeting, which we helped create, aimed at providing mental health supports and tools to professionals of color to debrief and cope with difficulties of life during the pandemic and beyond.
Joined the AAAG's Truth Telling and Reconciliation team for the City of Providence whose goal was to ultimately secure reparations for descendants of slaves living in the City of Providence.
Co-Hosted three Town Hall meetings on issues regarding Student Resource Officers,
police use of force policy, the Obama Foundations commit to action as well as the L.E.O.B.O.R. (Law Enforcement officer's Bill of Rights)
Hosted meeting with then Superintendent of Providence Schools gaining his support to remove
S.R.O.'s (Student Resources Officers) to be replaced with mental health councilors or professionals.
Accepted the "Community Lead" role in the then Policy Advisory and eform sub group.
Accepts role of "community lead" for the Police Advisory sub group of the AAAG.
Agrees to volunteer and join AAAG (African American Ambassador Group). Consulting in the Police Advisory, Mental Health/Wellness and Food Disparity sub groups.
